Buy Cheap - Buy Twice! This is a fact when purchasing any make or model print device. The cheaper the printer or MFP the dearer the toner cartridge. Most cheaper makes come with a starter cartridge, normally within 400 - 500 pages the cartridge is empty.

How to Choose the Right Printer…..

1st step. How much work? (How many pages per month?)

This can be a simple process, firstly ask yourself “How many pages” An easy guide is how often do you use a ream of paper? (a ream is 500pages) If you are going to be printing approximately a ream of paper fortnightly QBM would recommend a small to medium sized printer.

2nd step. What type of cartridge?

This is another must know when purchasing a printer. Single component cartridges are always the best way to go. Single component means an “all in one” toner. This is a cartridge that contains the toner, the drum and the toner waste collection unit.

This will result in a low maintenance print device as this style of toner cartridge do the most work inside your printer. You could relate this to the engine, the clutch, diff, and gearbox of a car.
